AP and DP on lifeskill gear is just a nice bonus that you generally do not care about when selecting clothes. After all, it doesn't even make any sense to try and claim that Manos clothes are better than Silver Embroidered Clothes, because they serve different purposes even if they're for the same skill. The only time that it would make any sense for the game to tell you that any particular type of lifeskill clothing was better than what you were currently wearing would be if you had a better version of the exact same type of clothes in your inventory. I'm going to wear the one that's appropriate to the current task, and the DP is completely irrelevant. I don't care if my Silver Embroidered Trader's Clothes +3 has higher DP than my Silver Embroidered Farmer's Clothes +2.

The game would have to take into account what your AP or DP would be after making the switch to get that right, and it obviously isn't that sophisticated about it.Īnd of course, in general, the fact that any of this applies to lifeskilling clothes is just plain annoying. However, because the Hunter's Clothes take up all of the armor slots, you actually lose DP when equipping them, so they are in fact worse. Another annoying example is how something like the various Hunter's Clothes will be considered better than your normal chest piece, because they have more DP. The logic they use to determine whether a piece of gear is better is just too primitive.
